Overgrown grave yard

On visiting the Somerset East Museum recently, I discovered this old overgrown grave yard behind it on the slopes of the Boschberg Mountain. I have a thing for old cemeteries and had a look around. Unfortunately the guy who was going to show us through the museum arrived and cut short my exploration, but next time I’m in town I will definitively head back there for another look.

  1. Looks like the graveyards in Germany the only difference is ours is not as neat as the German's ones/ They sure make sure the dead lie in neat places.

  2. Oh, how interesting. Someone else on the blogs had some graveyard photos as well, and said she loved to spend hours in graveyards.I liked your “God's Property” post as well. (I am playing catch up again…)I suppose you are immersed in soccer at the moment. How can anyone listen to those vuvuzelas!? Goodness, they sound like mad hornets. πŸ™‚

  3. mmm – all that rusty framework and overgrown graves. Chance to test camera to capture oxidization. Certainly appears to be an old cemetary which has fallen on bad times.
