We took a bunch of kids to Bayworld for Chaos Boy's dinosaur birthday party (I haven't edited the party photos yet but will post a couple at some stage) and I spotted this "smiling" marsh terrapin at Bayworld's Snake Park. Happy chap if you ask me.

White cub
The Seaview Game and Lion Park is well known for their white lion breeding project. The highlight for a lot of visitors to the park is the opportunity to play and interact with these cute little critters. Normally this is where you hear lots of "Aaaaaahhhhhhhh" 's.
The King
One of the adult male lions at Seaview Game and Lion Park. I was fortunate to be able to take this photo without any visible fence in it and what was even better was that he was standing still and focusing on something. I love this photo, even if I have to say so myself.
Chacma Baboon mom

For this reason a cheetah needs to creep up as close as possible to their prey before pouncing. I snapped this magnificent … Continue reading On the prowl
Subantarctic Fur Seal
A week or so ago I posted a pic of one of the Cape Fur Seals at Bayworld. Sharing their enclosure with them is this Subantarctic Fur Seal.

Both of these have a number of different animal species that can be view on the game drives through the park. Most people get quite excited when they … Continue reading Giraffe
Tiger
One of the tigers at the Seaview Game and Lion Park just outside Port Elizabeth. Seaview has three adult tigers, of which one recently gave birth, in a big enclosure next to the white lions.
