Humewood Hotel on Marine Drive
The three star Humewood Hotel on Marine Drive is one of the oldest hotels in the city and started its existence as the Humewood Mansions. The same family that was responsible for the building of the hotel still owns it now, three generations later. I dug around the internet a little and couldn't find a … Continue reading Humewood Hotel on Marine Drive
Bird Rock and Lovers Lane
Bird Rock is a well known landmark between Hobie Beach and Pollok Beach, named so because there are always gulls and cormorants sitting on it. The paved road and parking area is called lovers lane. No need to explain that really.

The Humpback Dolphin Trail walkway along the Port Elizabeth beachfront is a great way to get some fresh air and explore the beaches. This section of the walkway follows the coast from the beacon at the end of Admirality Way towards Pine Lodge.
Beachfront crafts
The area across the road from Brookes-on-the-Bay in Humewood has over the years established itself as an informal craft market with a number of stalls having sprung up there. Although the crafts are traditional African crafts, most of it gets brought here from elsewhere. Elsewhere being mostly up north from Zimbabwe. Although the crafts aren't … Continue reading Beachfront crafts
New play park
The play park at the new Kings Beach development is officially the Kidz' new favorite play area in town with all its "different" activities. Personally I like the journey of giraffe next to the pathway which I have used as one of the clues in an "Amazing Race" type of competition called Travel Quest I … Continue reading New play park
