While walking in the Sardinia Bay Nature Reserve last weekend I realised that you don't need to travel to the West Coast to see flowers. We also have a huge variety of wild flowers in bloom during spring. We may not have the quantity but we definitely have the variety and the beauty.

Proteas in the city
I went Geocaching in Lorraine this afternoon and had to follow a trail into the bush in the area to go and find a cache up a tree. You can see it is spring by the amount of wild flowers in bloom and I specially liked these Pincushion Proteas close to the cache location.

Danger Point not looking too dangerous
The Danger Point and the Danger Point Lighthouse near Gansbaai in the Overberg has a descriptive name very apt to how dangerous the coast here can really be. It doesn't looks as dangerous though when you photograph it with little pink wildflowers in the foreground.
Nature reserve wild flowers
Some of the wild flowers Drama Princess and I encountered on the Grysbos Trail through the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University Nature Reserve this past weekend.

Living in Port Elizabeth it's not always possible to do the trek west to go and … Continue reading A blooming nice display at Van Stadens
