Bayworld series #2: From the Dinosaur Hall you enter the Shipwreck Hall. I have to say this must be my favorite exhibit. Bayworld houses artifacts from some of Port Elizabeth's best known historic shipwrecks which include the Sacramento, the Dodington and the newest part of the exhibit, the Amsterdam.

Drostdy Museum
The Drostdy in Uitenhage was erected during General Jacob Glen Cuyler’s tenure of office as the Landdrost of Uitenhage from 1806 to 1827. Today it houses the Uitenhage Africana Museum and provides the ideal setting in which to portray the history of Uitenhage and the surrounding areas..GPS: 33°46'9.66"S, 25°24'15.21"E
The Fort and a museum
I have posted various view from the top of the Donkin Lighthouse before, but here is one I haven't. Looking south, you can see Fort Frederick in the background between the apartment buildings while the light green building in the foreground is the Prince Alfred Guard Museum.
Mandela manuscrips
On display in the Red Location Museum are manuscripts from Nelson Mandela's diary from the years he spent on Robben Island. These manuscripts are in his own hand writing and is one of the museums most prized exhibits.

Making candles
Yesterday I featured the Cuyler Manor Museum. When I visited the museum, one of the ladies who work there showed me around the grounds and buildings. In the restored kitchen she show me all the old kitchen equipment and demonstrated how they made candles in the old days.
