Totem pole
We came acoss this brightly painted pole in Clarendon street the other day and it looks like someone had a lot of fun painting it. Unfortunately it also looks like many people have placed their offerings of litter at the base of the pole. Come on good citizens you can do better than that!
Pineview
One of the iconic buildings in Port Elizabeth Central is Pineview, which is situated between Donkin Street and Ivy Terrace. When you contrast this building and Cora Terrace with the earlier post on the Victoria Hotel, you can see what a difference having a heart and a passion for our City and our heritage can … Continue reading Pineview
Monthly Theme: Paths and Passages Cora Terrace

But it created that amazing yellow glow you sometimes see, and everything took on an orange tinge. This photo was taken from Benno Road in Charlo, by … Continue reading Sulfurous skies….
Your one stop health shop……..
I could not resist photographing this sign, which I spotted in a street in Uitenhage recently. This really looks like a one stop shop for holistic health care African style.
leaving port at sunrise
I will never tire of watching the big ships being shepherded in and out of the harbour by the powerful little tugs, this was around 5am last Saturday. You can see the Port Captains watch tower in the background.
Bliss
Does it get any better than this? Last weekend of the holidays, and people were making the most of it!
