Pyramid shining

The sun peaking out from behind the Donkin Memorial on the Donkin Reserve. The Donkin Memorial was erected by Sir Rufane Donkin in 1820 in remembrance of his late wife Lady Elizabeth after whom he named the town.My first Skywatch contribution of the year. Eish, that's bad of me.

Flying home from Johannesburg a couple of weeks ago the sun set about 10 minutes before we landed as we were approaching Port Elizabeth over the Addo area. This pic was taken on the same flight I took the pics of Coega Harbour and PE Harbour from.

The Prince of Wales Obelisk

Campanile for Skywatch

I know I posted something similar not too far in the past (so if you saw that one please excuse me), but I still wanted to post this picture looking up at the 52 meter high Campanile, built on the landing beach of the 1820 British Settlers.

Rainbow

With all the rain we've been having the last couple of weeks we haven't had a lot of sunshine around. But when the sun does break through there is always a chance of a rainbow. Like this one I caught coming off the N2 at the Westering / Framesby off ramp.
