Bird Rock and Lovers Lane

Bird Rock is a well known landmark between Hobie Beach and Pollok Beach, named so because there are always gulls and cormorants sitting on it. The paved road and parking area is called lovers lane. No need to explain that really.

I often wish I lived in Schoenmakerskop. A beautiful place for walks, swims, snorkeling, fishing (not that I'm a fisherman), sunsets and photographs. Plus its nice and peaceful in the week and only gets a little busier over weekend. My kind of place, unless the wind pumps out of the south-west.

Kings Beach

Kings Beach is a beautiful piece of white sandy beach stretching from the harbour wall up to McArthur Pool. The last weeks of summer

Its officially autumn (or has been for the last 11 days), but may the summer weather remain for quite a bit longer. Here's hoping, I'm not quite ready for winter yet.

Walkway

The Humpback Dolphin Trail walkway along the Port Elizabeth beachfront is a great way to get some fresh air and explore the beaches. This section of the walkway follows the coast from the beacon at the end of Admirality Way towards Pine Lodge.
