Full Moon

Friday night it was full moon and the moon just looked bigger than normal. I only have a mid range camera (the fixed lens type with 15x optical zoom) and take most of my pic’s with the setting on auto, so I have never been able to take a proper moon photo. I started playing around with the settings and eventually as I was about to give up found what I was looking for. So here is my attempt at a full moon photo. Unfortunately there was no clouds to get some nice moonlight on the clouds shots, but I am quite happy with what I got.

  2. Well done thats a cracking shot! It is a fiddle to get everything just right, but you have done it perfectly. Are you off on you travels soon ???In answer to your question, yes those bloomin’ great cows are walking anywhere and everywhere, and the are ENORMOUS with those huge horns, and Having been chased by cows as a kid, I am not a great fan of the species in general. :0(

  3. That is a fantastic shot! The moon was supposed to be the ‘biggest’ it’s been in 15 years. I thought about going out a taking a photo but it was cold and rainy and overcast here in Manchester so I stayed in! Good shot.

  4. Cool shot of the moon! Nice capture! Yes the snow is here to stay a few days. Later this week it should be unbelievably cold down to 5 or 6 Fahrenheit. I am just hoping we still have running water and electricity!! Enjoy the vacation I expect some amazing shots!

  5. Wonderful shot. I believe the moon was not only full, but exceptionally close to the Earth. I was in rural France on Friday night and I swear we could have driven the whole way to the house from the airport with the headlights off!
