Bladder grasshoppers are mainly restricted to forested areas, so you don’t get to see them much around the city. We have quite a lot of them in Yzerfontein (West Coast) the call is loud in the evenings (much like a frog). My cat also brought one into the house and they have a scary growl when threatened (released unharmed). Beautiful grasshopper
