Back in the early days of PE Daily Photo before I took over from Sue and Max, the St Philips Anglican Church in Richmond Hill got featured on a fairly regular basis, specially around sunrise or sunset. That's because Sue and Max live just up the road from it. I on the other hand live … Continue reading St Phillips church revisited

Rainy day in the Bay
The last couple of months have been a bit on the dry side and after the previous weekend's rain it seems that the weather has suddenly discovered some more moisture to share with us. Over the last 48 hours we've had some good rains in and around Port Elizabeth with apparently more to come in the next … Continue reading Rainy day in the Bay
Sushi at Fushin
I'm probably one of the few people who's never tried sushi. That was until the other day. I took a group of bloggers for lunch in Stanley Street in Richmond Hill and after sussing out the restaurants on the strip we decided to go for Fushin. My companions decided to order a couple of sushi … Continue reading Sushi at Fushin
Stanley Street
It seems that all three weekend posts for this week have some kind of link to food. It wasn't planned, it just worked out that way. Stanley Street in Richmond Hill has become one of the most vibrant spots in Port Elizabeth with its wide variety of eateries and sidewalk seating. The wooden bunny puppet
Richmond Hill has really become one of the "in" places as far as restaurants and boutique shops go in Port Elizabeth. I had a couple of minutes to spare while in the area and strolled into Decor on Irvine for a look. The first thing that grabbed my attention as I walked in was the wooden … Continue reading The wooden bunny puppet
Cafe Ruwach
Richmond Hill has truly become one of the "in" places around Port Elizabeth and looking at the restaurants, cafes and pubs in the area it isn't hard to understand why. A week or so ago a friend asked me if I've ever been to Cafe Ruwach and on answering no we headed over there straight away … Continue reading Cafe Ruwach
St Philips Church
Sue and Max (SAM) used to feature the St Philips Church in Richmond Hill quite often in their photography when they were doing PEDP but as I don't get to the area that often I haven't done so. The other day I was on my way to the Oval for Chaos Boy's school athletics and found myself riding through … Continue reading St Philips Church
Stanley Street at night
Over the last couple of years Richmond Hill has developed into one of the premier restaurant districts in Port Elizabeth with a number of very good restaurants, coffee shops and deli's opening up all over the area. In the evenings, specially over weekends, places like Stanley Street is a hive of activity with patrons dining … Continue reading Stanley Street at night
Pavement cooking
Taking a walk through Richmond Hill a little while ago, I passed the cook of one of the restaurants cooking on the pavement. The smell of the grilling hamburger patties left my mouth watering.
