Well today is the PE airshow, and I am sure we will regale you with pix from that next week, but to set the scene, here is the tail and winglet livery of a South African Airways jet, taken as it taxied past at the last airshow in 2007.

That is a wonderfully colourful tail! I flew on SAA several times, and it brings back fond memories, and some not so fond when the psgrs. in front of our row refused to put their seats up a bit. Spent a miserable night behind them.

I went to the airshow today and it was great.Remember the old SAA tail. The orange tail with the “Flying Springbok”. I miss that, although the current SAA colours aren’t bad either.
