When I was growing up there was an Afrikaans kiddies show on South African tv called Oscar en Knersus. Oscar was a rabbit while Knersus was a big Pterodactyls with huge teeth. Knersus was always trying to catch Oscar. For some reason we always called these plants Knersus’ teeth because the look like teeth. I haven’t been able to find the proper name, so if anybody know…Knersus’ teeth.

Hahaha, my mom bought the kids an Oscar and Knersus DVD and I still enjoy it as much as I did when I was a child! Have no idea what these are, but they do look like teeth…

Oh my! I remember Knersus!! That was a long time ago! I think they look like upside down wheat! Never seen them before!

We used to think of them as locusts tails.I don't know what they are called though. Nice photo.
